Deanna Segrave-Daly, RD, LDN
Based in Philadelphia, Deanna is a seasoned
communications consultant and “food loving”
registered dietitian specializing in nutrition
and culinary projects. Partner at Teaspoon
Communications, she has conducted
hundreds of media interviews locally and
nationally on a variety of topics ranging from
healthy cooking tips to school nutrition. For
three years, Deanna was the “Mid-Day
Gourmet” for Harrisburg’s ABC Noon News
show and now appears often on Philadelphia
TV where she showcases tasty yet nutritious
tips via her creative food props for today’s
families and active consumers. She is also a
skilled public speaker and culinary demonstrator specializing in interactive food and recipe presentations. In addition, Deanna enjoys the written word – she’s a contributor to many food-related websites and specializes in encouraging healthy appetites through social media outlets including Twitter and Facebook.
Throughout her career, Deanna has been on the boards of various state and regional dietetic associations, a member of local public relations groups and a volunteer for mentoring programs and hunger organizations. Deanna is especially committed to the Food & Culinary Professionals (a practice group of the American Dietetic Association) whose mission is to increase food/culinary expertise throughout the dietetic profession. She is a Past Chair of the 2,200+-member association, which continues to grow in numbers. She is also active with Les Dames d’Escoffier International and the International Association of Culinary Professionals.
Deanna has two undergraduate degrees from Penn State University in marketing and nutrition - she is also a die-hard Nittany Lion football fan, and spends the off-season rooting for the Phillies. Her husband and young daughter keep her inspired to create appealing, good-for-you family cuisine.
