Food Fun Friday: Gardening Surprises

The seed packet said simply “Beans.” The kids and I were curious if they would be green beans or yellow beans.

Clearly, they were both yellow and green beans

But the “Beans” seemed to have extra large seeds inside and dry, papery thin pods outside.

So we split open a few bean pods

We were surprised by what we found inside.

No "Beans" here, we grew black-eyed peas!
